Dr. Alexander Mirtchev contributed the Introduction (Russian edition) to “From Third World to First: The Singapore Story, 1965-2000” – the memoirs of the first Prime Minister of Singapore Lee Kuan Yew. Dr. Henry Kissinger later commented: “I share with Dr. Mirtchev his great admiration for Minister Mentor Lee, whom I believe to be one of the greatest political leaders of the post-World War II generation.” The memoirs launched a new publishing series by the Moscow State Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.
